The Center for Advancing Transportation Leadership and Safety (ATLAS Center) at The University of Michigan (U-M) hosted the Safe Transportation & Aging Symposium on September 14 through15, 2016, at the North Campus Research Complex (NCRC) in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The theme of the symposium was “Meeting the Challenges of Safe Transportation in an Aging Society.” ASAP co-sponsored this event and Dr. John Sobanjo, the ASAP Director was a member of the Program Committee. Dr. Thobias Sando and Dr. Eren Ozguven, both ASAP Faculty, attended the symposium, as well as Dustin Souders, and Emmanuel Kidando, ASAP graduate students. Dr. Sobanjo served as a session moderator, while the other ASAP members made various presentations, including poster presentations by the graduate students.
